Do you want to help with the 2016 MATHCOUNTS Competition?
We are looking for volunteers for the 2016 Fort Worth MATHCOUNTS Chapter Competition. The Fort Worth Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) Chapter coordinates this annual chapter competition where 6th, 7th and 8th grade students challenge their mathematic skills. After several months of coaching, participating schools select students to compete individually or as part of a team in our local chapter competition. This year our chapter competition will be held at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth on January 30, 2016.
We need volunteers to help the event run smoothly on the day of the competition. Volunteers will help proctor & grade tests. The commitment time is around half of a day starting around 8:00 a.m. A light breakfast and lunch will be included as well as a souvenir t-shirt.
This is a great opportunity to meet and network with other engineers as well as introduce the engineering community to the students involved at the competition. This competition cannot be successful without your help.
If you and/or your friends are interested in participating in this fun and exciting event, please contact Holly Ayoub (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please let me know if you would prefer to be a proctor or grader. I can also be reached at (817) 764-7437. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions!
Thank you for your support,
-Holly Ayoub, Volunteer Coordinator
